Our story
A dad, a daughter, and a timer.
MyEmy started at a kitchen table. Not in a studio, not in a boardroom — at home, between a father named Randy and his daughter Emy.
Emy is autistic. Like many autistic children, waiting is one of the hardest parts of her day. "Five more minutes" meant nothing. Every transition — leaving the park, ending screen time, waiting for dinner — could turn into a hard moment for the whole family.
Randy tried sand timers, kitchen timers, and every visual-timer app he could find. Some helped a little. None of them let him show Emy what came next — the thing that mattered most to her.
So he built one. A timer with a colored ring that shrinks. A big picture in the middle showing what was coming — a plate of pasta, a bath, a car ride to Grandma's. He added 2000 picture-words so any family could use it. And when Emy started waiting more calmly, he decided to share it with everyone.
MyEmy is named after her. It's free because patience shouldn't cost anything.
